Telangana set to receive NTPC's 800 MW thermal power project in Peddapalli & CARO centre in Hyderabad
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant two-day visit to Telangana on March 4 and 5, 2024, where he will be inaugurating, dedicating, and laying the foundation stones for various development projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant two-day visit to Telangana on March 4 and 5, 2024, where he will be inaugurating, dedicating, and laying the foundation stones for various development projects amounting to more than Rs. 15,718 crore across Hyderabad, Adilabad, and Sangareddy.
Commencing on March 4, 2024, the Prime Minister will dedicate NTPC’s 800 MW (Unit-2) Telangana Super Thermal Power Project in Peddapalli. This project, based on ultra-supercritical technology, is poised to supply 85 percent of power to Telangana, boasting the highest power generation efficiency of 42 percent. It's noteworthy that the foundation for this unit was also laid by the Prime Minister.
Continuing his engagements on March 5, 2024, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the Rs. 350 crore Civil Aviation Research Organisation (CARO) Centre at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. This center is a significant step towards upgrading and enhancing research and development activities in the civil aviation sector.
Later in Sangareddy, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundation stones for multiple development projects amounting to Rs. 6,800 crore. Among these projects are the foundation stones for three National Highway projects, including the four-laning of the 40-km long Kandi to Ramsanpalle section of NH-161 and the six-laning of the 29-km long Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the upgradation of the 47-km long Miryalaguda to Kodad Section of NH-167 to two lanes with paved shoulders. Furthermore, he will inaugurate the doubling and electrification of the Sanathnagar - Moula Ali rail line along with six new station buildings and flag-off the inaugural MMTS Train Service from Ghatkesar - Lingampalli via Moula Ali - Sanathnagar.
As part of his itinerary, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the 1,212 km IndianOil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline. The visit will culminate with a public meeting in Sangareddy, where the Prime Minister is expected to address the gathered audience, highlighting the significance of these developmental initiatives.
